Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, is the largest urban area in the country. Bangkok sits at the mouth of the Chao Phraya River and was once dubbed as the “Venice of the East” with its vast network of khlong, river for Thai. Bangkok, however, is not just about the modern city life. A visit to Rattanakosin, the Old City, gives one a glimpse of ancient Thailand. The Chao Phraya River and other Bangkok canals features the traditional Thai way of life.
