Leaflights at Monte Carlo Beach Hotel, Monaco

Monaco Hotels | Monte Carlo Beach Hotel

Beautiful leaflights on the walls.

As many as there are travelers are their varying tastes for that one perfect hotel destination to satisfy their whim.  Budget travelers want more experience for less expense.  Business travelers go for convenience, access, and perhaps cheap hotels where the price does justice to the basic yet comfortable accommodations. Still others who have money to burn go for lavish and style, thus opting for luxury suites, regardless of the purpose of the travel.

But here’s one unique hotel feature that will suit the taste of those who are in search of something new.

Monaco Hotels | Monte Carlo Beach Hotel

The unique leaflights give a unique experience to Monte Carlo Beach Hotel guests.

Yanko Designs took notice of the subtle yet immaculately beautiful effect of unique leaflights illuminating the walls of the newly renovated Monte Carlo Beach Hotel which sets it apart from other Monaco hotels.  The leaflight design combines modern and nature. Forming leaf shapes and serving as the shade of the light source beneath are laser cut, expertly hammered metal sheet disks. Put together, the leaflights reflect lights off all directions.

Seeing the leaflights aglow, you wouldn’t suspect that these gossamer-looking light designs are, in contrast, made of metal sheets.

A grand display of leaflights can be found in the lobby.

While the leaflights are thoughtfully placed on walls and ceilings, the grand gathering of elegant leaflights is a must-see wonder found in the Monte Carlo Beach Hotel’s grand lobby. The lobby is a giant dome, with a cone-shaped ceiling. This ceiling encloses the beautiful arrangement of leaflights for a spectacular display.

Light up your seaside like no other! Truly, the leaflights have made Monte Carlo Beach Hotel one of the most unique Monaco hotels.

Check this out: Aircruise, a Flying Hotel

By , 15/02/2010 17:30

Aircruise is a solar-powered hotel in the sky

Was the Aircruise  already commercially “up, up, and away” this V-day? If it was, then love would have been literally in the air.

Aircruise is the name for towering kite-shaped airborne hotels that is touted to change the way luxury hotels entreat their avid  and non-height-fearing guests.

Booking a flying hotel?

When it was introduced on 3 February, the Aircruise had this description attached to it: “Standing 98ft taller than Canary Wharf, packing 330,000 cubic metres of hydrogen gas and capable of lifting 396 tonnes, the Aircruise concept features penthouse apartments, bars and even dizzying glass viewing floors.

Aircruise was created as the antithesis of a hurried, crowded passenger jet. London-based design and innovation company Seymourpowell wanted to rethink transport – on the premise ‘slow is the new fast’. It could ferry 100 people from London to New York in a leisurely 37 hours as opposed to the seven it takes now by airplane.”

A view from an Aircruise room

A flying luxury hotel? Not a bad idea.  After all, luxuriating is no friend of rush. Could it come with a hefty price or compete reasonably with cheap hotels and other budget accommodations? Although, being its own kind, one can’t expect much leveling-off on the price tag.

A glass floor serves as viewing deck with the world under your feet.

So for your worldwide travel and hotel accommodation, are you going for speed or comfort? The choice is yours. And we definitely have lots to watch out for about this  luxury hotel in the sky.
