Cheap Hotels Near Universal Studios Singapore
There’s just no stopping people from trooping to the Universal Studios Singapore! Tempted to be one of the first few to experience being in this gigantic movie theme park?! Well here’s the good news–there are cheap hotels near Universal Studios Singapore that is best for families with just enough budget for the tickets!
Hold it–just before you jump in, consider the risk of you being part of the park test. The 20-hectare park had–and still is on–a soft opening beginning 18 March. Which means that park engineers have not yet signed off on all the rides meeting safety standards to qualify as fully operational. Battlestar Galactica, the park’s main attraction, is still close as of this writing after it malfunctioned on 26 March.
Darn, what a downer. But there’s Shrek and Fiona! And Gloria and the Madagascar gang, so how could you possibly resist?! Trust me, I also want to take my Hollywood-savvy 3-year-old with me there to experience the magic and thrill of being in Far Far Away. So go, get your tickets! But then again, another downer– I heard Universal Studios Singapore Hotels by Resorts World are expensive considering family of, say, five. Sigh.
Now for the the ultimate upper: Fret not, there are alternative hotels to choose from that are also nearby. These are Singapore budget hotels that offer a good night rest after an exhilarating day at ‘The’ park!
1. Hotels in harbour front area. – the nearest. A cheap hotel will be Harbour Ville Hotel.
2. Hotels Novotel Singapore, and other hotels in Clark Quay area.
3. Amara Hotel Singapore and other hotels in Chinatown area.
4. Bukit Timah Hotels and others in Orchard Road area. – There are 22 hotels in Orchard road which are mostly luxury hotels in this area / shopping district.
